Notes
- General Note:
- Notes on the back of the photograph state: '1. new lamba covering large stone / 2. looking glass on pole / Was this for woman buried away from family tomb?'. Additional notes accompanying the photograph state: 'A curious grave. The large white affair in front is a block of stone covered with new cloth. At the top of the wood is a looking glass. We could find no explanation for it at the time, but since returning I hear that probably it is the grave of a woman that was fond of dress in her lifetime. The cloth is there for her spirit to use, and the looking glass for her to look at herself in.'
