The kerosene trade of Chefoo is almost entirely carried on by junks with the ports on the coast from Shan Hai Kuan to Ta-tung-K'ou, only a small percentage finding its way to the hinter- land of Chefoo, which is more easily supplied by the railway from Tsingtau.
