- Journal of Thomas Heath, August - December 1840 describing his return to Tahiti from Sydney, and his journey to visit the islands of Eimeo [Moorea], Huahine, Raiatea, Borabora [Bora-Bora], Pitcairn Island, Austral Islands [Tubuai] and the Marquesas Islands before returning to Tahiti. Mentions meeting with Rev Hiram Bingham of the Sandwich Islands [Hawaii] mission who was visiting Tahiti on his way to New York. He also describes the history of the present settlement at Pitcairn Island.
