The Sixth Hall is presided over by Päan-Ching-Wang, who reigns in Hades directly under the Great-North Sea. She is said to sprinkle clean water upon them, which relieves them of pain, alike in this world & in the past. _______________ Diyu (simplified Chinese: 地狱; traditional Chinese: 地獄) is translated into English as "Earth Prison". It is a place where sould undergo purification before being sent onward for reincarnation. There are ten halls, or, courts of hell in Diyu, each has its own "Yama", or, "Yan Wang" (Chinese: simplified Chinese: 阎王; traditional Chinese: 閻王) King, referred to collectively as the Ten Yama Kings, 十代冥王.
