Notes
- Abstract:
- A dbyangs yig giving a liturgical text at the beginning in ‘headless’ or cursive manuscript style. This is followed by a musical score indicating the cantillation of the voice as the liturgy is chanted. Liturgical chanting of rituals accompanied by trumpets, shawms, bells and drums is a prominent feature of the Tibetan monastic routine (Text by Philip Denwood, from the exhibition catalogue: Objects of instruction : treasures of the School of Oriental and African Studies, Anna Contadini, Editor. London : SOAS, University of London, 2007.) ( en )
