- Abstract:
- This concertina style manuscript tied together with a string contains portraits of LMS missionaries to Africa, Each portrait is accompanied by the date of appointment, register number, and country/region visited. The miniature shows Livingstone in the prime of life. -- The archives of the Council for World Mission, which are deposited at SOAS, record the work of the London Missionary Society and the Commonwealth (formerly Colonial) Missionary Society. They comprise minutes, correspondence, reports, personal papers, and over 11,000 photographs.
