- Abstract:
- A Chinese classified encyclopaedia featuring illustrations of subjects in the three divisions of the universe, Heaven, Earth and Humanity. It is organised in 106 chapters and 14 categories, covering a wide range of topics, ranging from mythological subjects to everyday objects and animals. Pictured is a rong, a large ape with long yellowish-red hair (left) and a zhu, a large stag, the leader of a herd (right).
