Notes
- Abstract:
- Mills wrote to Balfour: "I have had an excellent tour right along the Manipur border in Kuki (people) and Kacha Naga (Zemi) villages to which Hutton has never been... The Kacha Naga dancing is delightful, but as in nearly every village the young men and maidens turned out and leapt before me, it has been rather expensive." Mills would, of course, always reward dancers who performed for him. ( en )
