Notes

Abstract:
Lentinoktan, a young man in full dress, wearing a bear's fur circlet with hornbill feathers which indicate that he has performed mithun sacrifices, a boar's tusk necklace and other necklaces and two crossed baldrics with red dyed goat's hair. On his upper arm he wears rings of elephants' tusk (or wooden imitations thereof) cauntlets covered with cowries and a loin cover also covered with cowries. in his hands he holds a plain dao. The photograph was taken in the garden of Mill's bungalow at Mokokchung, where many visitor used to come along. ( en )
