520 3    |a The slain tiger is lashed to a bier in a standing position, its tail straight up and its mouth propped open. Carried by two lines of men, it is being brought into (probably) Mills' garden, watched by an admiring crowd. A man who has killed a tiger is highly honoured and respected in the village. The event is celebrated as would be a successful head-hunting raid, and the warriors dance round it when it is carried in. Nagas consider a tiger to be the elder bother of man. The procession pauses while Miren is dancing (left).
