Abstract:
A thatched shelter over the grave, fenced off in front, with large gourds and a mithun skull on the fence. Against the fence are three large boards painted with daos and hoes, and on a pole to one side are hung various baskets. ( en )

The image is part of Album C. The first part of this Album contains photographs taken when Mills was touring with J.H. Hutton in the Konyak country in October 1923. Album B. also contains some photographs taken on this tour. At the time Mills was Assistant Commissioner, based at Mokokchung, and Hutton was Deputy Commissioner at Kohima. The latter part of the Album consists of photographs from other areas. These cannot be dated, but were probably taken at about the same period.
