- General Note:
- In Chinese folklore the Celestial Officials dressed in imperial robes usually symbolise good fortune and official promotion. The character fu meaning good fortune expresses the wish that the owner may receive both wealth and the blessings of good fortune. These were two of the most common aims in the life of the ordinary folk and so prints of this design were particularly popular.
