- Biographical history: Sh. Abdalla al-Husniy was born in Mombasa at the beginning of 1900 in a family that originated from Hadramaut. He studied Islamic teaching with Sh. Said bin Ahmed, a well-known religious scholar. Sh. Abdalla became a Sheikh at the Anisa Mosque where he tought for many years and where he was buried in 1955. He was known for organising the Maulidi celebration, in the Anisa mosque, that was attended by many people from the Coast. After the maulidi he used to composed his famous waadhi, of which this one is an example. Sh. Abdalla was Yahya Ali Omar's religious teacher.

- Scope and content: This section contains two religious poems written by Sh. Abdalla al-Husniy, a famous religious scholar at the Hanisa Mosque in Mjua Kale, Mombasa. The poems were collected by Yahya Ali Omar, who was Sh. Abdalla's pupil, at the time of their composition in 1948 in Mombasa. The content is a religious admonition to instruct the Muslim community on how to abide by the Islamic values and duties and not to follow any forbidden activities. Sh. Abdalla was very famous for composing Waadhi at the time of the Maulidi celebration that he used to organise at the Anisa Mosque. The Maulidi celebration at the Anisa Mosque was very famous across East Africa.
