Notes
- Abstract:
- This is another type of spring ox calendar. Here figures of the scholar and fanner represent the universal qualities of success and plenty, and the images of the loom and spinning wheel may suggest that the calendar was printed for textile workers. The idea behind it is to praise their hard work and it expresses the hope that they may enjoy good fortune, actually so much that it would reach the sky. ( en )
