- General Note:
- Keturah Yarnold married John Jeffreys in 1821. He was subsequently posted to Madagascar. On account of Keturah's ill health, the family sailed for Mauritius in 1825; but, on their passage John died. Mrs. Jeffreys then sailed on for England, arriving in the Autumn of 1825. This letter is written after her return to the United Kingdom.
