- Encouraging news from the native teachers sent recently to the Manaiki group. Longs to send also to others. Abundance of cocoa nut and pearl shell bound to attract merchants to those islands. Fears Papist activities. Absence of the sincere godliness found formerly. Youths still inclined to go to sea and other lands when possible Native contributions. ( en )
