- Cheered by Directors’ approval of his course of action during the recent difficult period. Attributes Mr John M. Orsmond’s appointment to Papeete in part to Mr Thomson. His decision to stay on at Papeete. Question of getting that station again out of the Governor’s hands. His own difficult position in view of the credence given to Mr Thomson and Mr Orsmond. Admissions to the Church. Natives confused by antagonisms between Mormons and Papists, and of both to the L.M.S. missionaries Hopes that help will be sent by the "John Williams". ( en )
