- Covering letter enclosing copy of documents received from Mr Thomson from Tahiti, including a letter from Mr Thomson, himself, in which he raises question of authority at Head Quarters resting resting really with Mr Tidman and a few friends,and showing very unwise lines of policy followed, culminating in the present one concerning his and Mr Howe’s position at Papeete Extracts from letters of missionaries, the French Governor and Queen Pomare in praise of Mr Thomson.
