- Affects on natives of spirits being again permitted, though under restrictions designed to prevent their obtaining it. State of Church and students of Institution. Changed conduct of Pomare’s husband, now one of the above students. Dismissal of Charles Barff, junior from his office of printer on account of his habit of drinking. Testimonials in favour of Mr Simpson and against the charge of drunkenness. The latter’s continued attacks of mental desease. Hopes that two or three new men will be sent to their assistance ( en )
