Denial of Saadabad Pact Meeting The Iranian Government has officially denied a report appearing in the foreign Press that the signatories of the Saadabad Pact—Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan—were shortly to meet at Ankara or Baghdad to consider the Pact in view of the present political situation. In view, however, of the present attitude of the Soviet it is not unlikely that the respective signatories of the Pact will meet at some future date, when the Turkish Foreign Minister is not so busily engaged, and it is considered possible that the present pact of non-aggression will eventually take a form similar to the Balkan Entente.
