“...juncture to have a Government which fully represented national opinion. In the new Cabinet M. Kiosseivanoff is again Prime Minister, retaining as before the portfolio of Foreign Affairs. There are only four changes in the Cabinet, affecting the Ministries of Justice, Commerce, Public Works, and Railways. The Government will continue to maintain strict neutrality, and there will be no change in the country’s foreign policy. The Atchanae Expedition The report of the British School of Archaeology in Iraq, to which reference was made last week, also deals with Sir Leonard Woolley’s expedition to Atchanae last spring, when the main task undertaken was the clearing of a palace which in part underlay the palace of King Niqmepa, which was discovered in 1938. The latter palace is of the fifteenth century B.C., and as at least two construction levels intervene between the two buildings this year’s palace is held to belong to about the eighteenth century. The architecture of the palace is remarkable;...”
