During the Lebanese civil war she took first aid courses and volunteered for the Red Cross for 2 years. After 1985 she began working in the social and cultural department for LBC, a private television station in Lebanon. After 1991, she hosted her own television show on politics in the Arab world. She worked with LBC for 16 years before she was forced to resign.
