520 3    |a Dina was born in 1989 in Amman. Her father was a banker and her mother was an accountant, both of whom retired early. She studied architectural engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology, graduating in 2013 Dina participated in the protests in 2011, which began as celebrations of the revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia, but later developed into protests for different social and political issues. Dina is concerned about many issues, particularly education and normalisation of relations with Israel. As well as participating in protests, she has blogged about her concerns. Dina believes that it is important to be actively engaged in issues that affect you but also acknowledged that many people have been scared away from activism because of harassment by the authorities.
