- Result of a Commission set up in 1916 "to investigate the whole question of the Society's ownership of properties in the Cape Province, on some of which the Society has no control, and to consult with the Congregational Union of South Africa and others thereon, and to make recommendations to the Directors as to how such properties should be dealt with." Includes properties at Bethelsdorp, Pacaltsdorp, Dysseldorp, Fort Beaufor, Cradock, Somerset East, Brownlees Mission King Williamstown, Blinkwater, Peelton, Port Elizabeth, Uniondale, Heidleberg, Knapps Hope, Hansmoeskraal Farm, Graaff Reinet, George burial ground, Paarl burial ground, Theopolis, Philopolis, Uitenhage. Includes correspondence 1916-1917 relating to the LMS Property Commission, and a copy of their preliminary report. Also includes an Extract from the Report of the Rev R. Wardlaw Thompson, dated March 1884.
