- Abstract:
- Extracts from John Davies private journal, 5 December 1817 to 16 November 1818. Contains a description by John Davies of the missionary activities at Afareaitu in Eimeo [Moorea], and from July 1818 at Huahine. Mentions the establishment of the Tahitian Auxiliary Missionary Society and the Huahine Auxiliary Missionary Society, also the printing of the Gospel of Luke in the Tahitian language and its distribution along with other printed material among the native people.
