(Volume 1) Minutes of the Board of Directors of the Missionary Society (later London Missionary Society). Includes the minutes of the second meeting of the Directors, held in the Castle and Falcon Inn, Aldersgate. Includes list of 34 men who "declare our earnest desire to exert ourselves for promoting the great work of introducing the Gospel and its ordinances to Heathen and other unenlightened countries & unite together purposing to use our best endeavours that we may bring forward the formation of an extensive & regularly organised Society...". List includes John Love, John Eyre, Alexander Waugh, John Townsend and Thomas Haweis. Index in separate volume. ( English )
