Reminiscences by Rev R Howett (with photograph), Sister Winifred Haigh (with photograph), William Saywell (with photograph), Fannie Cooke (in group photograph with colleague and school children), Robert H Gush & A Shipman Elliott (photographed together), W Hoad (with photograph), J W Faraday (with photograph) and Thomas Hocart. Abstract:
Admin history: Rev Robert Howett (1878-1964) served as a Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society missionary in their Hyderabad District of India from 1906 until 1925 and in French West Africa from 1928 until 1934. Deaconess Winifred Haigh served in education for the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society in their Gold Coast District from 1907 until 1916 and in their Western Nigeria District from 1919 until 1920. Rev William Saywell (1862-1921) served as a Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society missionary in their West Indies districts from 1887 until 1916. Miss Fannie Cooke (d. 1939) served in education for the Wesleyan Women's Association in their Ceylon District from 1888 until 1926. Rev Robert H Gush (1871-1927) served as a Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society missionary in their Gold Coast District from 1896 until 1900 and Sierra Leone from 1900 until 1907. A Shipman Elliott was the son of 'Padri Elliott of Faizabad' (the WMMS missionary Joseph Alexander Elliott). Rev William Hoad (1873-1930) served as a Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society missionary in Lagos, Nigeria, from 1895 until 1897. Rev John W Faraday (1854-1934) served as a Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society missionary in 'Kafirland', South Africa, from 1881 until 1889. Thomas Hocart worked as a missionary in Kabylia [Algeria] as part of the mission field of the French Methodist Church from 1886 until 1899.
