“...over 90 members of the clan came from all over the USA to celebrate. Since 1977, through Phyllis (Booth) Eanes’ contact with him, he became a keen member of the Chefoo Schools Association, and regularly sent in most interesting news items for the Magazine. He also sent us a priceless collection of old Chefoo magazines - from the very first one, issued in 1908. These are in safe keeping in our Chefoo Archives. We are indebted to his sister Laura (Cornwell) Brose of Gresham, Or., for sending us a fine tribute to William, parts of which we have quoted above. This tribute ends with the following appropriate Scripture quotations,
