(Readers may remember the account he gave of the wedding of H.R.H. Princess Anne in Westminster Abbey in our issue of July 1974, to which he and Mrs.
Lutley had been invited by Her Majesty the Queen.

THORNTON WILDER,
one of Chefoo’s most distinguished sons, died in Hamden, Conn, on December 7th, 1975. He attended Chefoo in the years 1911 and 1912, while his father was U.S. Consul General in Shanghai, and was a loyal member of the Chefoo Schools Association. (See. p.46 of the July 1975 Chefoo magazine). In 1915 he entered Oberlin College, Ohio, and aLready he was writing one-act plays for his sisters to act in. Two years later he transferred to Yale, had a year in the Coast Artillery in World War I and took his degree in 1920. At Yale he continued his omnivorous reading, wrote for The Lit, turned out plays, and came under the influence of Professor William Lyons Phelps, the distinguished teacher. DAVID FIDDLER 1910-1918 (3825 Hampton St., Tucson, Arizona 85716) ...I'm doing O.K., reaching the age
of 71 this year .. born in Liangchow, N. China. There were 4 of us brothers, 3 of us still living (and all active members of the C.S.A., as from this year.
Ed.). I have 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grand child. I wish all of the group of the Chefoo Schools Association lots of luck, and keep up the good work.. I don't know any addresses of former Chefooites, would be glad to know of some. (Now, David's contemporaries get busy and drpp him a line! Ed.)
