I have one other son who was bom in Sian, Shensi, during the war. HERBERT HUDSON TAYLOR II did not have any direct connection with the Chefoo Schools as his great-grandfather (founder), grandfather (teacher), father, and brothers and sisters (all students there) had. He lives in Berlin, N. J. My sister EVA is at 4, Boyne Park, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. HERBERT D. in Wheaton, and ALFRED E. 315 Elm Street, San Mateo, Calif. 94401. HOWARD B. was killed in September 1940. BELLA escaping with her husband John Robertson by ship from Singapore, died when the ship was torpedoed in February 1942.
