“...in Tunbridge Wells, as well as other friends, found a warmer reception inside. The doors were flung open to welcome all who crowded in, and from the first moment there was an atmosphere of warm-hearted hospitality. Maxwell House is yet one more addition to the long list of evidences that God- Jehovah Jireh does provide for all who trust in Him. This residence for the children of missionaries who are working in the new fields was kindly made available to the Mission by the Medical Missionary Association. It is a large house, accommodating between twenty and thirty children, as well as staff, and was unfurnished. A legacy of furniture from South Wales was something of an unknown quantity, but when the moving-van disgorged its contents the same day on which Mr. and Mrs. Gaussen moved in to take...”

“...presented to me at the last Chefoo Winter Reunion, and I know of no better medium than the magazine. It was more than a surprise as I never expected such a thing, and it was kept exceedingly dark (at least from me) until the actual moment of presentation. I have decided to use it towards the purchase of a refrigerator which will be a great boon to Mrs. Mudditt and the household in general as well as being a constant reminder of you all. I need hardly repeat that my years of service in and for the Association which we all love have brought me pleasure, and if I have been able to help in any way in building it up I am amply repaid. I pray that it will continue in the principles on which it was founded, and go on from strength to strength, although “ Ghefoo ” and “ Ruling ” no longer exist as we knew them. God bless you all, and again many many thanks. Believe me, Ever yours sincerely, W. D. MUDDITT. 7...”
