This news-letter bears the date December, 1944 ; but we fear that through a combination of circumstances, it is unlikely to appear until well after Christmas. However, we may still exchange greetings in retrospect—and bid one another God-speed for the coming year. Please God it may be the year of the beginning of peace. We are grateful to all who have contributed articles or news items to this number. One major regret is that we have so little to report about the Schools at Weihsien ; but we continue to pray that there may be blessing in adversity and an undaunted faith, till the hour of liberation. A Winter Reunion is planned for Saturday, January 6th, 1945 : of which separate notices are going out, as this news-letter will scarcely be in time to announce it. It is to be held (as usual) at the China Inland Mission, Newington Green, from 3 p.m., with Howard Joyce presiding. We hope...”
