“...Newsletter. No. 18. MARCH, 1987 Chefoo Schools Great Britain Association % Branch. EDITORIAL. ON BEING A CHEFUSIAN. Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Taylor arrived in Chefoo about a week before the schools closed. I tried to get Dr. Taylor to write a paragraph of impressions for “ Chefoo,” but he wouldn’t be persuaded. He said, “ Tell them from me that the place isn’t as much changed as I thought it would be, and the smells are exactly the same ! ” Newcomers to Chefoo are Josephine Houghton, Bernard Welch, and Margaret Lutley. We extend a very hearty welcome to them ! The girls have been continuing their gymnastic classes this term, and Mr. Lutley has been teaching about fourteen of us to vault...”
