“...later date Miss Jones, also for England. Mr. & Mrs. Preedy are on furlough, but Miss Jones has retired from the Mission, owing to personal home ties. She will be much missed at the Girls School, where for so many years she has been in charge of the Wardrobe Department. Mies Mitchell is now holding that post, though 1 believe this is only for a temporary period.
I regret to have to report the death of Miss H. G. Aplin on the 7th. October. The late Miss Aplin, who was a Vice-President of our Association, first came to China in 1901, and from then to 1909 was Principal at the Girls School. After a furlough she went to work at Ruling till the time when she again went Home. After a linger stay she again returned to China, this time working in Shansi, but owing to ill-health was obliged th leave that province, and she had for a year or more before her death been working at Ninghai in this province.
Nurse White is expected back to-morrow, and Nurse Baker and Miss Frances Baker will be leaving for...”
