“...McCarthy,
5 Widcombe Crescent,
. . Bath.
That the Old Girls would like a share in this, I have no doubt. That they will respond heartily, I have also no doubt. It was my privilege to collect for the Conduct Watch this year, and the gifts were given so heartily and gladly that the pleasure far outweighed the small amount of trouble entailed.
That there will be as ready a response to this appeal from both Old Boys and Old Girls, there can be no question in anyone’s mind ; and if each member of the Association would send even a small donation, it will bring a certain amount of comfort to those less fortunately placed than ourselves.
All donations will be acknowledged by initial in the next number of the Magazine, together with a statement as to what has been sent from this country.

“...ready for as much more of that life as the medical authorities liked to give us.
F. M. McC. (Ray Ires).
But UDorfc ii\ France.
My Dear Chefooites,
Our new Secretary has written me such a kind letter asking me to tell you a little about the “ war-work ” in which I am engaged. This I am delighted to do, as I consider that God has given me the wonderful privilege of a share in the very highest kind of service for our brave men—a work not for time only, but for eternity.
The Soldiers’ Christian Association was founded just over thirty years ago, I believe. Its principles are very similar to those of the C.I.M., so I feel quite at home 1 Our work has the one main object— to enlist our hero-soldiers in the army of our Lord Jesus Christ, and God is honouring prayer and labour by giving us fresh recruits daily.
The S.C.A. has at present fourteen huts in France. The work in all is doubtless very similar, so in describing the one in which I am working, at the Cavalry Base near Rouen, I am, in the main...”

“...Hall, Balham, at 2 p.m. The service was conducted by Mr. H. Lewis and Sir James Bird. The notice as it appeared in The Times was as follows :
“ On 16th March, in London, quietly, Captain Max Lewis, M.C., General List (Brigade-Major), to Hilda Mercy, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Price, of Nanchang-Fu, China.”
My husband returned to France on Good Friday, and is now in the thick of the fighting.
Yours truly,
Hilda M. Lewis.
Dear Editor,
I am a, member of the Chefoo Old Girls’ and Boys’ Association, and am always delighted to receive the Mag., so as to hear what is happening to everybody.
I have been trained at the London, and am now on their private staff.
I should love to see and meet some of the old Chefoo people, but never seem to have any luck, as I am very seldom in from a case for more than a day.
My sisters Edith and Dora, who were also at Chefoo, are at home, and their address is " Penare Road, Penzance, Cornwall.”
Yours sincerely,
Rebecca Manners.
Dear Editor,
There are quite...”
