Randle, made a very able speech, briefly summarising the work of the C.S.A. for the year past. His report was decidedly encouraging, and all branches and departments seemed to be doing well. He emphasized the need for more individual effort, and finally requested us to “ once more put our shoulders to the wheel, and push the Association upwards and onwards.” I must not forget to speak of the interval halfway down the programme for games, musical chairs, general post, “ sitting on each other’s laps ” (I forget the technical name for that game, but it’s very good fun), “ musical instruments,” etc. Our thanks were also due to Miss Pullen, who did yeoman service at the piano, for all accompaniments and for musical chairs.
