Tuesday. Was adopted by a kind Day Boy and got a
better meal than usual but an irate parent whose
permission had not been given for my main-
tenance, put an end to my stay with that par-
ticular family.
Wednesday. Got a dose of shot sent singing about my
ears but the man behind the gun being rather
a poor shot, I got off with a clip of the ear.
Thursday. Attended at a meeting of the beach wonks
which was called to mourn over a late mem-
ber who had succumbed to a party of the Anti-
Wonk Association aimed with clubs and bricks.
Friday.
The Prep School gate was invitingly open so
I entered. The Prepites were in a great funk,
some of the kids thinking I was mad, I believe,
but after a time they were consoled and played...”
