The name shows that Travancore does not forget its
famous men. The strength of the School is 250.
To the Southwest of the High School in the same com-
pound is the Vernacular School occupying a splendid
building which was erected only three years ago.
The students of the Training Class for Teachers had Just
returned when the report was written from a four days’
trip to TRIVANDRUM, a great metropolis to them.
There they visited the Zoo, jail, Museum, Model School,
and saw ice in an ice factory, and some of them saw a
train for the first time.
It is becoming increasingly clear that if the Canna-
moolai Theological Seminary College is to do its proper
work for the students, it must arrange to keep in touch
with them after they have left. During their years at
CANNAMOOLAI they have much to help them in
their religious life, but when they leave many of them
go to remote village congregations, some of them
away in the jungle where the conditions...”
