Next term the First Game at the Boys’ School will play hockey instead of football and the Saturday matches will be hockey too. This is an innovation which is approved by Old Boys but which some of the Present Boys regard with some suspicion. Some members of the Staff have favoured this change for some time, as they know it is easier to join hockey clubs or get some friendly games of hockey in England than it is to play Association Football. The change was advocated by Jimmy Moore in an article recently published in this magazine on the ground that it would afford opportunity for the girls to join the boys at times. This will doubtless be arranged. The chief sporting event of the term as far as the boys were concerned was a football match with a team from H.M.S.
