- Biographical:
- Bang-i-Kurdistan, established in 1922 with encouragement from British forces in post-World War 1 Iraq, was the official organ of the Kurdistan Foundation. The Foundation and its newspaper were established to counter Turkish influence in the region. It ceased later in 1922 with the establishment of an independent, but pro-Turkish, Kurdish nationalist movement.
