Notes

General Note:
Hand-drawn, with hand colouring. Individual sheets, trimmed - some excessively, and pasted down in three volumes, each in something of thematic order.
General Note:
Also attributed to Octavian Dalvimart, engraved by various artists, and published by William Miller in a volume entitled 'Costume Of Turkey' (London, 1802). This is likely not the case as the style of this illustration is different from that of Dalvimart. Indeed, Dalvimart appears to have been a copist; his images and their settings bear a strong likeness to those of Cousinéry.
