The text is about events-based wars, as was told by local scholar in Mengmao, Yunnan (China, near Myanmar border) via Dr Sai San Aik.

Original Location:
The origin of this manuscript is unknown, but most likely originates from Yunnan, China
Ownership:
Dr Sai San Aik, a Shan scholar, brought the manuscript to UK during his trip to ASEASUK Conference held at SOAS in 2014; He donated the mss to SOAS Library through Dr Jotika Khur-Yearn. The manuscript was subsequently digitised at the collection curator's instruction in November 2014.
Donation:
The Mong Mao Kingdom was an ethnically Dai state that controlled several smaller Tai states or chieftainships along the frontier of what is now Myanmar and China in the Dehong region of Yunnan with a capital near the modern-day border town of Ruili.
