“...Taylor has agreed to become an honorary Vice-President of the Association. Since 1980, Dr. Taylor has been serving as the seventh General Director of the Overseas Missionary Fellowship (formerly the China Inland Mission) at the Mission's International Headquarters in Singapore. We are proud to note he is, in fact, the first General Director to be an "Old Chefusian." Jim, as he is known to so many of his Chefoo friends, attended the Chefoo Schools from 1936-45 at Chefoo (Yantai) and under internment in the Temple Hill and Weihsien Camps. While he himself is also a second generation Chefusian, since his father, James H. Taylor II, also went to Chefoo [1900-10], his Chefoo School roots go still much deeper — indeed, for four generations of Chefoo involvement back to the origins of the Schools. It was Jim’s greatgrandfather, James Hudson Taylor I, the founder of the China Inland Mission, who started the Schools on a visit to Chefoo back in 1879. Further, Jim's grandfather, Herbert Taylor, was...”

“...three sons. Bob, Charles, and George also attended Chefoo School. Donald was a loyal supporter of the Chefoo Schools Association, paying his dues regularly as well as sending in news for the Magazine every year and never failing to write a 'Thank You" for his birthday card. His news told of his tireless Christian witness to others, especially to international students including many Asians who attended the University of Indiana in Bloomington. This was through the United Presbyterian Church in Bloomington where he was a member. More than once he stated that Matthew 4:19 was his life goal. Donald passed away peacefully at the age of 91. "ANUEI" H. EVELYN (LACHLAN) de B. ROBERTSON [Chefoo 1907-13] died in Loughton, Essex, on June 1, 1987, after a time of increasing weakness. She was bom in 1896 in Shanghai, China, of missionary parents. Both she and her parents served under the China Inland Mission. Her mother, Kate Mackintosh, began her work as a C.I.M. missionary in 1884, and her father...”
