“...decided that the name of this Branch will now be the Great Britain Branch.
Chefoo Jubilee.
It is probably known to all Old Chefooites that this year the Chefoo Schools celebrate their Jubilee.
All of us who have had the honour of passing through the Schools during this period of fifty years since 1881 indeed have much to be thankful for and proud of our connection with the Schools.
This year’s Foundation Day at Chefoo was kept on June 16th, and was a special Jubilee function. A suitable cable was sent from the Association to the Schools.
Mr. and Mrs. McCarthy.
It has indeed been a pleasure to welcome Mr. and Mrs. McCarthy again amongst us. After leaving Chefoo they paid a visit to Australia and saw many Old Chefooites there. We are very sorry to hear that Mrs. McCarthy has been unwell recently, and we sincerely wish her a speedy recovery, and both of them many years of happy and well-earned rest.
We hope to give them an official welcome at the Summer Reunion on September 12th.
Reunions....”
