Notes

General Note:
The Bhugol Park was inaugurated in 1941 to commemorate the 1934 earthquake. The six-sided column on a raised plinth in the centre of the park is inscribed with the government actions after the earthquake such as distribution of medicines and blankets to the affected people, materials for shelters, free timber from the forests, and subsidised CGI sheets. The column is topped by a globe (hence its name in Nepali), on top of which Lord Shiva is seated. The column supposedly houses the loan papers that were waived in 1938.
