- In the two envelopes numbered SL5 and SL6, there is a book by J. B. Pride, ready for publication. The book is entitled ‘A Guide to the Study of Language in Culture and Society’ and it was written in 1967, in Leiden, The Netherlands. The book discusses the relation between language and dialect, as well as issues of linguistics and socio-linguistics, and the study of languages in general. The second envelope contains an abstract of the book, distributed by the Centre for Information on Language Teaching, London, in March 1968. ( en )
