520 3    |a In this final section of MS 47769 there are a few letters from Nasoro bin Salim al-Mundhiri to Taylor, mostly undated and written in Roman script. Most of the information contained in the letters is personal communication to Taylor. The last letter is from Mwidani bin Mwidadi to Taylor, also undated, but written like the rest of the letters contained in this collection in Arabic script. Mwidani asks Taylor for a money advance of three riyals, as well as informing him of land tenure issues related to his coconut tree plantation. Mwidani was of the Jomvu group, an ethnic group related to the Swahili, and he was one of the first to convert to Christianity. He greatly helped Other missionaries as well, like, for instance, Krapf and Wakefield. Mwindani also urged Wakefield to set up a mission in the Jomvu area.
